Georgia Natural Gas Supports CircuitRunners’ Championship Journey
June 15, 2026
At Georgia Natural Gas®, we believe investing in education is one of the most powerful ways to fuel stronger communities and brighter futures. That’s why we’re proud to support Wheeler High School’s Robotics team, CircuitRunners, where students don’t just learn about science and technology - they bring it to life.
Earlier this season, the CircuitRunners engineered their way onto the global stage, earning a trip to Houston, Texas to compete among the top robotics teams from around the world in the 2026 FIRST® Championship. Their journey reflects months of designing, building, and testing robots from scratch inside Wheeler High School’s state-of-the-art robotics facility.
After earning their place on the global stage, the CircuitRunners had an incredible run at the FIRST Championship, turning their potential into kinetic results. One of the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams earned the 2nd Place Innovate Award in their division. Competing alongside top teams from around the world, this FTC team advanced all the way to match 13 in the divisional playoffs after being selected to join the #3 seed Alliance, where they competed alongside other top-ranked teams in elimination matches. The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team was the semi-finalist of its entire division.
But their success goes far beyond competition results.
The FIRST experience is about creativity, collaboration, and confidence, and the CircuitRunners fully embraced it. From connecting with peers across the global FIRST community to sharing moments during lunch breaks and celebrating at RoboProm, this team made the most of every opportunity to learn, grow, and lead.
The REBUILTTM season has been one of the most phenomenal in CircuitRunners history, which is a testament to the dedication of these students and the unwavering support of mentors, coaches, and volunteers who help bring STEM education to life.
As a Gold Level sponsor, Georgia Natural Gas is honored to help make opportunities like this possible by supporting travel costs, competition fees and the resources students need to bring their ideas to life. This kind of investment goes beyond competition; it helps equip students with skills in engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving that will serve them for years to come.
We’re inspired by what this team has accomplished and honored to play a role in supporting programs that equip students with real-world skills, foster innovation, and open doors to future careers in energy, technology and beyond.
Congratulations to the CircuitRunners on an outstanding season. We can’t wait to see what you achieve next.
