Energy Assistance Programs for Natural Gas Customers

Georgia Natural Gas wants to ensure our customers have access to natural gas. If you are concerned about paying your natural gas bill or missing a payment, there are several energy assistance funds from various programs and agencies you may qualify for.

United Way

United Way connects people to the resources they need across the state. Visit their website or call 211 to learn what is available to you.

 

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

LIHEAP is a federally-funded program to help low-income households with their home energy bills. Visit the website or call 404-657-3427 to see if you’re eligible.

 

H.E.A.T. (Heating Energy Assistance Team)

H.E.A.T. works to ensure hundreds of low-income Georgians get the help they need to meet the cost of home heating. Visit HEAT's website to see if you're eligible.

 

Georgia Weatherization Assistance Program

This program provides grants to help improve the energy efficiency of the homes of low-income families. Visit the website or call 1-800-436-7442 to see if you’re eligible.

 

AGL Senior Citizen Discount

Customers 65 years of age or older and who have a total annual combined household income of $25,760 or less are eligible for a monthly discount of up to $14 off their base charge. Natural gas service must be in the customer's name to be eligible. Visit AGL’s website to see if you qualify.
